About the Vernon Snowmobile Association (Club)
Welcome new and returning members!
The Vernon Snowmobile Association (VSA) welcomes you to Silver Star Mountain Park in beautiful Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. The VSA has been operating the trails and cabins on this mountain since 1967. Part of the trail system is contained within a Provincial Park, and part is managed jointly with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. Silver Star Mountain offers a wide variety of terrain for all riders, but is mostly geared towards families and sledders who prefer to ride on trails, rather than more advanced hill-climb-type venues. The VSA grooms the 160 kms of trails in the area with our own groomer, on a regular basis. The Silver Star chalet and the Armstrong cabin (warm-up shelters) are located about 3 kms and 22 kms from the parking lot respectively. The area is well signed (see our brochure for further signage details).
The area is shared with cross country skiiers so please obey all stop signs and please stay off of their trails.
Once again, we welcome you to our mountain. Ride safely, enjoy our trails and cabins...and have fun!

VSA Membership
Dear Valued Member, Thank you for your past support of the Vernon Snowmobile Association. Your membership provides valuable funding for trail grooming and running our local club & riding area - as well as money to support the BCSF (British Columbia Snowmobile Federation) in their efforts to sustain our sport in BC.
Membership is available through Johnston Meier Insurance, Capri Insurance, or you may contact the VSA Membership Director (see "VSA Contacts" tab).
An alternate - but slower and less efficient (because you must wait for your permit/decals to be mailed to you in due course) - method would be to print off the Membership Form available here, and mail it along with your cheque or money order (please do not send cash in the mail) to:

User Pay for Non-Members
The VSA, in conjunction with BC Parks, operates a User Pay system on this mountain. If you are not a VSA club member, we ask that you support us by using the ticket machine located in the Parking Lot. The fee is $10.00 per sled, per day. One dollar of this money will be donated to our local Search & Rescue. The balance goes towards maintaining our trail system and buildings, and groomer.
Thank you for your support.
